22 Enrolled - Schering Plough TIMI 50

One of our first trials with Memorial City and Katy Cardiology, TIMI 50 was a good challenge for our new research department in 2008. It was a global trial which ended up recruiting over 27,000 patients worldwide, 22 of which we recruited. Most patients participated for almost 3 years, taking the study medication daily. The trial was designed to test if the study drug was effective in preventing heart attacks and strokes in patients with known coronary disease after a previous cardiovascular event.
