We help pharmaceutical companies work directly with private practice physicians to do excellent clinical research in Houston. Core values of honesty, integrity and charity, coupled with an unparalleled work ethic have allowed us to help hundreds of patients, numerous sponsors, and a handful of physicians. We hope you will reach out to us and become one of these people.
We are now the number one clinical research site worldwide in this clinical trial. Our clinical research coordinators are working directly with our group of cardiologists in Houston to make this study a great success for the sponsor.
Our clinical research coordinators and physicians should be proud! One of our sites was 10th nationwide, 5th in enrollment rate.
In collaboration with Katy Cardiology Associates, Dr. Amir Kashani and his partners, we were able to enroll a full 26 patients over the course of the study, which was good enough to be 10th out of 101 total sites nationwide. We were actually 5th out of 101 for our enrollment rate! Since we were not one of the first sites selected, we started out behind but quickly caught up. Considering the potential importance of this device, as well as the caliber of other institutions participating, this is an awesome achievement for our growing research department.
Angel Medical Systems is an innovator in today's cardiac medical device arena. The company has developed the AngelMed Guardian system, which is designed to detect and warn patients when a heart attack may be imminent.
The study is no longer enrolling patients, but many patients are continuing to be followed through the course of the trial. We are excited to see the outcome of the data as this device has the potential to drastically reduce the time it takes for high-risk patients to recognize they are having a heart attack and seek medical attention immediately. The long-term benefits to patients, if this device works as intended, would be monumental because their risk for developing heart failure following long-term muscle tissue damage would decrease drastically.
